AI Chat Overview All Users
Nucleus includes a built-in AI assistant that can answer questions about your data, create dashboards, generate reports, and more. It is available on every page.
Opening the Chat
- Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) to focus the chat input.
- Click the sparkle icon in the bottom-right corner to open the chat panel.
The assistant is context-aware. It knows which page you are on and adjusts its responses accordingly. Asking “show me revenue” on a campaign dashboard gives you campaign-level revenue. Asking the same thing on the overview page gives you totals.
How Responses Work
Not every question needs the same level of processing. Nucleus routes your query through three tiers depending on complexity:

| Instant | Simple lookups and pattern-matched questions. Data already available on the page. | Immediate |
| Assisted | Questions that need light reasoning or data formatting. Uses a fast AI model. | 1-2 seconds |
| Reasoned | Complex analysis, multi-step queries, or actions like creating dashboards. Uses an advanced AI model with access to 54 tools. | 3-10 seconds |
You do not need to choose a tier. The system decides automatically based on what you ask.
The tier indicator appears briefly when a response starts loading, so you can see which level of analysis is running.
