Sharing Tabs Analyst+
When you create a custom tab, it starts as private. Only you can see it. You can share it with your workspace so everyone on the team can access it.
How It Works
Each custom tab has a lock icon in the tab bar that shows its current sharing status:

| Unlock (open) | Shared | All members of the workspace. |
Sharing a Tab
- Click the lock icon on the tab you want to share.
- A confirmation modal appears asking if you want to share the tab with the workspace.
- Confirm to share. The icon changes to an open lock.
The tab is now visible to every member of the workspace. They can view and interact with it like any built-in tab.
Making a Tab Private Again
Click the unlock icon on a shared tab. It reverts to private and disappears from other users’ views.
Permissions
- Analysts and above can create, share, and unshare tabs.
- Viewers can see shared tabs and interact with them, but cannot toggle the sharing status or create new tabs.
⚠️
Private tabs are stored in your browser’s local storage. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, private tabs will not carry over. Sharing a tab saves it to the platform permanently.
